PTC Announces Auditions for The Tempest June 13

Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's production of Shakespeare's The Tempest will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Callbacks are scheduled for Tuesday, June 14, 2011; that time will be announced to auditioners who are called back.

Audition slots from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13 are for Actors' Equity members only. Audition slots from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. are open to all auditioners. The audition slots are limited to five minutes.

Non-AEA auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. AEA members ONLY may contact ElizaBeth Williamson at elizabeth.williamson@ptc.utah.edu to sign up, STARTING Monday, June 6, 2011. The sign-up sheet will be posted by noon on Monday, June 6, 2011. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.

All auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Audition sides will be available from the PTC Business Office one week prior to the audition (Monday, June 6, 2011). A photo and resume are recommended. For more information please visit the PTC web site: www.pioneertheatre.org.

Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, September 26, 2011 - Thursday, October 20, 2011; performance dates are October 21, 2011 - November 5, 2011. PTC Artistic Director Charles Morey will direct the production.

All roles are currently available; all auditioners must be 18 or older.
