International Christmas Celebration Held This Saturday At UCCC 12/17
Latino Community Center in partnership with different Law Enforcement Agencies, and other State, local organizations will present INTERNATIONAL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2011.
This event will be held Saturday, December 17 from 4:00 pm. to 9:30 pm at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 West 3100 South, West Valley City.
Why:
· to celebrate Christmas with the International community living in Utah
· To provide toys to 600 needed children
· To provide the opportunity to International performers to share their cultures and perform in a professional Christmas event
· To create a better relationship between state/ local agencies, law enforcement agencies and the minority community.
4:00 pm. to 6:00 pm. Kids activities, toys distribution and free pictures with Santa for 600 children
7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. Main Christmas show with the participation of 250 International performers
7:00 pm. Santa Clause (who is a Utah Highway Patrol Trooper) will arrive on his police motorcycle escorted by other motorcycle officers from different police departments. Various dignitaries and leaders will welcome the audience and the International performers participating at the event
Speakers includes: FBI Special Agent in Charge David J. Johnson; Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon; Salt Lake County Sheriff James Winder; Senator Luz Robles; West Valley City Police Chief Buzz Nielson, and representatives from the U Army, LDS Church, PCPD, UDPS, and UHP.
The International Christmas Celebration is a nineteen year tradition and is the only Christmas program in the US where this many state and local organizations, including law enforcement agencies, take an active part in creating a good relationship with the minority community living in Utah.
