Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome. Dark changes are taking place in 1930s Germany and the Kit Kat Club beckons all to cast cares aside and indulge in their basest desires. English ex-pat Sally Bowles, star of the cabaret, meets Cliff, a writer and fellow escapist. Their attempts to remain in the world of fantasy are fleeting as reality always eventually pays a visit, even to the cabaret.
Cabaret is directed by Trent Cox, music directed by Rick Rea, and choreographed by Talese Hunt.
The Ziegfeld Theater continues its fifth season in 2017 with a musical drama. The opening, cabaret-style gala and performance is Friday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. Regular performances are 7:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, adding a 2:00 p.m. Saturday matinee on June 17.
