R25 Theater Company presents “The Outsider” from September 12 through October 5 at California Stage, 2509 R Street, in Sacramento. Performances are 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays. The box office opens 30 minutes before curtain for on-site ticket sales. Free street parking is available. Who is Ned Newley? And why is he the new governor? Lt. Governor Ned Newley doesn’t even want to be governor, but scandal has shoved him into the big chair behind the governor’s desk. But Ned has issues: he’s terrified of public speaking and his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his ever-supportive Chief of Staff, Dave, Ned seems destined to fail. But political consultant Arthur Vance sees things differently: Ned might be the worst candidate to ever run for office. Unless the public is looking for… the worst candidate to ever run for office. “The Outsider” is a timely and hilarious comedy that skewers politics and celebrates democracy! "The Outsider" is directed by Scott and Linda Taylor, and features Michael Coleman as Ned Newley, Celia Green as Louise, Kaitlin Richards as Rachel, Jason Kaye as Dave, Emily Kentta as Paige, Kevin Menager as Arthur, and Nick Helmer as A.C..
R25 Theater Company is at 2509 R Street, Sacramento, California, 95816, Sacramento, CA.
