By:

As special programming for the 2015/16 Season: BRAVE NEW WORLD, Capital Stage will present their first full length musical production, THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS, by the LA-based writing and performing partnership Burglars of Hamm. This dark comedy tells the story of John Broadus Watson, father of Behaviorism and modern advertising. THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS runs now through January 3 with a Press Opening tonight, December 12, 2015 at 8pm. BroaddwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS tells the incredible sort-of-true story of John Broadus Watson, father of Behaviorism and modern advertising. He has the power to control your brain. Indeed, we suspect he's making you read this right now. Capital Stage will venture into the realm of musical theatre with this Mad Men-esque dark comedy that puts the origins of our pop-culture consumerist society under a satirical magnifying glass.

Burglars of Hamm is a writing and performing partnership that has been creating original comedies since 1998. There are four writer/performer partners - Carolyn Almos, Matt Almos, Jon Beauregard and Albert Dayan - as well as an acting ensemble.

THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS will be directed by Burglars of Hamm member Albert Dayan (Capital Stage directing debut). The cast will feature Alissa Doyle (Capital Stage debut), Francis Gercke (Capital Stage debut), Don Hayden (Capital Stage debut), Tara Henry (HEDDA GABLER), Tiffanie Mack (MR. BURNS, A POST ELECTRIC PLAY), Connor Mickiewicz (Capital Stage debut), Sean P. Nill (Capital Stage debut), Andrew J. Perez (ENRON, THE NORTH PLAN, THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY), Morgan Sommer (Capital Stage debut), Sara Wagner (Capital Stage debut), and Nanci Zoppi (Capital Stage debut). The production team will include Ken Roht (choreography), Sam Given (assistant choreography), Graham Sobelman (musical direction), Stephen C. Jones (scenic design), Stephen Decker (lighting & projections design), Ed Lee (sound design), and Shelley Riley (costume design).
