Civic Theatre West is pleased to announce auditions for its upcoming production of ANNIE on October 25, 26, 27.

SYNOPSIS: Annie is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Auditions are as follows:

KIDS ONLY - Monday, October 25 at 8:00pm

ADULTS ONLY - Tuesday, October 26 at 8:00pm

CALL BACKS - Wednesday, October 27 at 8:00pm

All auditions will take place at the TOWER THEATER located at 421 Vernon Street in Roseville. Stephen Hatcher will direct, with musical direction by Jennifer Vaughn and choreography by Jeannine Bordeaux. Production dates are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm, January 7 - February 12, 2011 at the Roseville Theater. There is one Thursday show on January 20 at 7:00pm.

All roles are available. Be prepared with 16 bars of a song from a Broadway show (but not from ANNIE), and come dressed for movement. If at all possible, plan to attend both days of auditions. An accompanist will be provided. Headshots and resumés are not required but useful if you have one. The normal rehearsal schedule for Main Stage productions is Monday through Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. Bring a list of dates that would conflict with rehearsals. Anyone with dates that conflict with actual performances need not audition. For more information, please call the theatre at 782-1777 or email us at boxoffice@civicwest.org.
