One stormy night, thunder booms, making a small girl cry in fear. To comfort her, the villagers tell her the story of a peasant girl who falls in love with a rich young man, and the island gods who will have their say.
"Once On This Island," a highly original and theatrical adaptation of the popular fairy tale "The Little Mermaid," garnered eight Tony nominations for its Broadway run, including Best Musical, Book and Score.
