This weekend, 100 Camp Broadway Kids, ages 10 through 17, will begin rehearsals at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City. The children are preparing for a featured performance at the New York Pops Orchestra's "Too Marvelous for Words: A Johnny Mercer Centennial" on Friday, November 20 at Carnegie Hall's Isaac Stern Auditorium.

Twelve Providence Camp Broadway Kids will be performing in "Too Marvelous for Words." They are:

Maria Chiello, age 10, from Johnston, RI
Amanda Crimmins, age 14, from North Attleboro, MA
Sydney DaCosta, age 14, from Hope, RI
Zachary Kelley, age 10, from Norfolk, MA
Brigid Kennedy, age 10, from East Greenwich, RI
Amanda Lewis, age 17, from Dover, MA
Emily Matos, age 12, from East Providence, RI
Kate McGovern, age 15, from Tiverton, RI
Holden Rhodes, age 14, from Providence, RI
Marena Richardson, age 15, from Wakefield, RI
Stephanie Stabile, age 17, from Cranston, RI
Cara Vieira, age 11, from Foster, RI

This weekend's rehearsals involve intensive vocal training, dance instruction, a workshop in lyric writing and song development, and a blocking and technical rehearsal with award-winning composer and conductor Steve Reineke and the Pops.
