In response to high demand and praise from critics and patrons alike, Trinity Rep announces additional performances of Oliver!. Tickets are now on sale for Saturday, March 29 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 30 at 2:00pm. Co-directors and choreographers Richard and Sharon Jenkins bring classic Trinity Rep style to this boisterous, high energy tale of the kind-hearted orphan boy. This production is made possible by support from the National Endowment for the Arts and supporting sponsor The Washington Trust Company. During the month of March, Trinity Rep will serve as a drop off point for the Washington Trust Peanut Butter Drive to benefit Rhode Island food banks. Tickets for the added performances of Oliver! are on sale now at the Trinity Rep box office, 201 Washington St.; by phone at (401) 351-4242; and online at www.trinityrep.com.

"The public's response to this production has been so overwhelming, "states Curt Columbus, Trinity Rep's Richard L. Bready Artistic Director, "From long time Richard and Sharon Jenkins fans, to musical buffs and everyone in between, audiences are falling in love with this show."

During the run of Oliver!, Trinity Rep serves as a drop off location for the Washington Trust Peanut Butter Drive, which is currently in its 14th year of collecting donations of jars of peanut butter for local Rhode Island food banks. Patrons are encouraged to bring a jar of peanut butter with them when they come to see a performance and drop it in one of the lobby collection bins on their way into the theater. Why peanut butter? It's high in protein, loved by children and adults, and expensive for families in need. One jar of donated peanut butter will make 16 sandwiches for a hungry family. Since Washington Trust began their Peanut Butter Drive in 2001, they have collected 104 tons of peanut butter - Trinity Rep is proud to be partnering with them in their collection effort this year and encourages all of our patrons to participate.

Kick up your heels and high-step along with Trinity Rep's gritty take on Lionel Bart's musical Oliver!, based on the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. The show brims with familiar songs such as "Food, Glorious Food," "Consider Yourself," and "I'd Do Anything." This new Trinity Rep adaptation of the classic will vividly bring to life Dickens' timeless characters, from the orphan boy who dares to ask for "more" to the Artful Dodger, the kind-hearted Nancy, mischievous Fagin and the violently sinister Bill Sykes. Join Oliver as he navigates the streets of 19th-century London, on a search for love and family and his place in the world. Winner of three Tony Awards.
