Country star Trace Adkins will hit the road on November 14th for The Christmas Show 2014 Tour, continuing the holiday tradition he started last year with this reverent theatrical and musical production for the whole family. Fans can also bring The Christmas Show home with the "The Christmas Show" DVD available now.

The Christmas Show Tour 2014 will stop at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 8P. Tickets are $55.50 - $26.50 and are on sale now at the PPAC Box Office (220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence), online at www.ppacri.org and by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). All ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge and are subject to change without notice. VIP and Meet & Greet Packages are also available; call the Box Office for more information. Box Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 10A to 5P; Saturday, 10A to 2P and at least two hours prior to all curtain times.

"The holidays are my favorite time of year and I'm excited to bring this show back on the road. These shows aren't just a straight up concert, they're bigger and more exciting with the 12 piece ensemble, the storytelling and some of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever heard."

The Christmas Show 2014 Tour features songs from THE KING'S GIFT (Adkins' album of Celtic carols) as well as historical and humorous narrations and fireside chats. These Christmas classics will be performed by Adkins and his twelve-piece "Sarepta Symphony," including Scottish singer, Alyth McCormack, whose voice is featured on the studio version of "I Saw Three Ships" from THE KING'S GIFT and also joined Adkins on "The Christmas Show" DVD. Trace is beyond humbled to have Alyth join this year's tour and have her perform a few songs of her own.

The tour is inspired by Adkins' annual hosting duties at Disney World's Candlelight Processional, where his deep baritone narrates Christmas stories, while a full choir and orchestra perform. It has always been a highlight of Trace's year and he is thrilled to bring his own unique version of this concept on tour for the second year in a row.

"The Christmas Show" DVD features performances from esteemed guests Alyth McCormack, Andrea Zonn and Lily Costner. Filmed during last year's tour stop at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL, the DVD also includes behind the scenes interviews with Trace and other members of the tour.

In addition to a ticket to this year's Christmas Show, fans at participating venues can also download a copy of Adkins' Celtic Christmas album THE KING'S GIFT (released October 2013). THE KING'S GIFT ("Tiodhlac An Righ," in Gaelic) pays tribute to an ancient genre and transports the listener to a time of mystery and valor.

THE CHRISTMAS SHOW DVD includes performances of (with featured artists noted):

  • The Christmas Song
  • Wexford Carol
  • O'Come Emmannuel
  • Away in a Manger
  • We Three Kings
  • What Child is This
  • I Saw Three Ships (Alyth McCormack)
  • Miriam (Andrea Zonn)
  • Silent Night (with Lily Costner)
  • I'll Be Home For Christmas (Lily Costner)
  • Oh Holy Night
  • Tannenbaum
  • Carol of the Drum
  • White Christmas
