PPAC/PFM Pres Honored at Providence Business News’ 25th B-day Celebration

Providence Business News (PBN) named PPAC/PFM President J.L. "Lynn" Singleton as one of the 25 "driving forces" in the Rhode Island business community over the past 25 years. Singleton was acknowledged with 24 other business leaders from the fields of arts/entertainment, communications, law, education, food, banking, real estate, philanthropy, and medicine at PBN's 25th Anniversary Gala at Rosecliff Mansion in Newport last week.

Singleton said, "It's great to be considered a 'driving force' in the Rhode Island business community, and I appreciate the personal recognition; however, equally important has been the leadership of PPAC's Board of Trustees and the consistent, collaborative effort of our entire staff, which have brought PPAC's success to fruition. This honor is especially meaningful given that it celebrates those in Rhode Island who have had a long-term commitment and made a significant contribution in their respective areas for our state over the past quarter-century. Congratulations to all the other winners and to Providence Business News on reaching this great milestone."

At the gala, PBN Publisher Roger C. Bergenheim said, "We started then, as we are today, as a weekly publication with the mission of providing the business community with a fresh voice and insight into the news that matters to businesses... Our paper looks different today but the goal remains the same - one of integrity and solid reporting."
