The board of directors of The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) is pleased to announce the appointment of Leon C. Boghossian III as president, effective April 23, 2013.

A partner in the Providence law firm of Hinckley Allen, Boghossian joined the Gamm board in 2008, most recently serving as vice president and co-chair of the development committee. As the newly elected president, he succeeds Samuel F. Babbitt who is relocating with his wife to New Haven, Connecticut.

Outgoing Board President Babbitt commented, "This is an exciting moment for The Gamm, and Leon is just the one to lead the board through the next decade of remarkable transition. As a Pawtucket person, he has always seen the theater as of tremendous benefit to the community, and he has been a strong influence in building The Gamm's cultural as well as economic impact locally. He has a knack for seeing and articulating the next problem and for shaping a forceful and direct response. With Leon, the theater will be in very good hands."

Gamm Artistic Director Tony Estrella added, "Leon and I both grew up here in Pawtucket and I look forward to leading this organization with him and strengthening the arts in our native city as well as expanding The Gamm's reputation regionally. His passion for Pawtucket has been evident since he joined our board several years ago and his extraordinary commitment and dedication to The Gamm along with his enthusiasm, professionalism, and leadership ability promise great things for the Rhode Island arts community."

Says Boghossian, "I am honored to have been selected by my fellow board members to become president of this truly wonderful organization. I have some incredible shoes to fill in Sam Babbitt's, to whom we are forever indebted. "

Boghossian joined the law firm of Hinckley Allen upon graduating from University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1986. He was made a partner in 1995, focusing his practice in the area of trusts and estates. In addition to his work on behalf of The Gamm, Boghossian is a member of the board of overseers for the Rhode Island Children's Museum, a Pawtucket Boys and Girls Club board member, and secretary of the John P. Burke Caddy Fund. A cum laude graduate of Bowdoin College, he also serves as treasurer of the Bowdoin Club of Rhode Island. Boghossian lives in his hometown of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with his wife, Karen.
