DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN Plays Veterans Memorial Auditorium, 12/5

DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN, the longest-running solo play in Broadway history, will perform at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium (VMA) Arts & Cultural Center on Saturday, December 5 at 5P and 8:30P.

DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN is a "hysterically funny" show about the ways men and women relate to each other (Variety). The Boston Globe described DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN as "so perceptive, so witty, so sweetly understanding, you can't help feeling exhilarated." DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN was written by comedian Rob Becker over a three-year period; during this time, Becker was an informal scholar of psychology, sociology, and prehistory.

Actor Paul Perroni will star as the Caveman. Perroni's past credits include Edmund Tyrone in Long Day's Journey into Night, Cassius in Julius Caesar, and a recurring role as Comedian/DJ Johnny Hughes in the Off-Broadway production of The Awesome 80s Prom at the Radio Star Ballroom.

Perroni performed in several Chicago theatres, including Actors Workshop Theatre, Victory Gardens Greenhouse, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Chemically Imbalanced Comedy, and Emerald City Theatre. He has also appeared in a variety of commercials and films including the short independent films Sugar, which was featured at the Dick Clark Productions Theater in Las Angeles, and The Minx, which was featured at the Hong Kong Film Festival. Perroni received his B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis on Russian Politics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN is recommended for adult audiences only. Tickets for DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN are on sale now and can be purchased at the PPAC/VMA Box Office, located at 220 Weybosset Street in Providence. Tickets are $45 and $25 and include a $2 per ticket facility fee. Regular Box Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 10A to 5P; Saturday 10A to 2P; and through curtain time(s) on performance days.
