2nd Story Theatre announces Citizens Bank as the corporate sponsor for "The Belle of Amherst" by William Luce. The play is being produced as a special event to benefit 2nd Story's "Cool Campaign", an ambitious effort to raise funds to install an air conditioning system in the historic building which houses 2nd Story Theatre in Warren.

"The Belle of Amherst" by William Luce is the one-woman show about the life of poet Emily Dickinson. The production will be presented in the courtroom at the historic Bristol Statehouse (Bristol, RI) marking 2nd Story's third collaboration with the Statehouse Foundation. The performances are from June 3 to June 27. 2nd Story Theatre has donated the performance on Saturday, June 5 as a benefit for the Statehouse Foundation. All other performances are open to the general public. For information, please contact 2nd Story Theatre at 401-247-4200 or boxoffice@2ndStoryTheatre.com. Please log on to www.2ndStoryTheatre.com.

"We are grateful to Citizens Bank for this important financial support," says Lynne Collinson, Executive Director of 2nd Story Theatre. "Because the project involves two non-profit organizations and neighboring communities, it is an ideal avenue to showcase Citizens Bank, 2nd Story Theatre and the Bristol Statehouse."
