2nd Story Theatre Presents THE GOOD DOCTOR, Closes 4/10

2nd Story Theatre's Season of Comedy now includes a visit by The Good Doctor, Neil Simon's heartwarming and hilarious tribute to Anton Chekhov. Simon, the popular Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, expertly weaves a variety of Chekhov short stories into a laugh-out-loud evening of infectious humor, touching tenderness and unending fun.

The cast of characters includes a writer, a blustering general, a lady of the night, a wild woman with a nervous disorder, a novice dentist, and an overeager actress. Of selecting The Good Doctor as a mid-season replacement, Director Ed Shea says, "I enjoy finding these little produced gems that make audiences wonder why they aren't performed more often." Of his experience working on The Good Doctor, "Doc" Simon has said, "It was a pastiche for me, an enjoyable interlude, a joyous experience." It's just what the doctor ordered.
