Avenue Q is a laugh out loud musical that uses puppets, animated by unconcealed puppeteers, alongside human actors to tell the all too familiar story of a recent college grad named Princeton. Princeton moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q where he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), superintendent Gary Coleman (yes, that Gary Coleman) and other new friends! Together, they struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
Adults love Avenue Q, but they seem a little, er, fuzzy on whether it's appropriate for kids. We'll try to clear that up. Avenue Q is great for adults of all ages and even young adults in high school because it's about real life. Its not appropriate for young children because Avenue Q addresses issues like sex, drinking, and surfing the web for...you know. Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children.
The Armory is a professional theatre venue in downtown Janesville, Wisconsin.
Ages: Mature audiences only! Full puppet nudity!
