(11/16/2012) - This Past Monday, November 12th, cast members from the national tour of Jersey Boys hosted the a cabaret fundraiser called 'Rock Like a Man' at the Carolina Theatre to benefit BCEFA and the Carolina Arts Discovery Program. The show was hosted by cast members Curtis Wiley and Kaleigh Cronin.This Past Monday, November 12th, cast members from the national tour of Jersey Boys hosted the a cabaret fundraiser called 'Rock Like a Man' at the Carolina Theatre to benefit BCEFA and the Carolina Arts Discovery Program. The cast sang songs from the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Bob Marley and more - and included several original songs written by cast members themselves. The event raised over $9000. Jersey Boys is running at the Durham Performing Arts Center through November 18th.

(09/06/2012) - THE COMPLETE WORKS OF William Shakespeare (abridged) {revised}, the longest running comedy in London's West End, was written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield and will be directed by Rod Rich of Actors Comedy Lab. It will be performed in Raleigh Little Theatre's Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre located at 301 Pogue Street in Raleigh on September 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 & 29 at 8 pm and on September 16, 23 & 30 at 3 pm. (08/29/2011) - On Saturday August 27, 2011, BroadwayWorld.com's CEO/Editor-in-Chief Robert Diamond, in the midst of Hurricane Irene married actress Jennifer Hallie Rosen after a 17 month engagement. The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.

(10/15/2010) - Billy Elliot The Musical has officially taken over Durham, NC. The lobbies on all three floors of the Durham Performing Arts Center are littered with electric cables, costumes, props and even a specially installed dance floor for rehearsals. The President's Club has been transformed into a school room for the 21 children appearing in the musical who, when they aren't rehearsing, are being instructed by three tutors. The magnificent theatre itself is strewn with papers, lighting gels, and electric and sound equipment. There is a palpable sense of creation in the air as Billy Elliot prepares to open in Durham at the end of the month.
