Burning Coal is excited to announce our fifth collaboration with Historic Oakwood Cemetery: Lessons Learned: Stories from the Oakwood Cemetery. This all-new script by Ian Finley features stories from Oakwood's illustrious past, including the story of the founding of NC State University, the lives of coaches Riddick and Valvano, and the struggle towards the city's first schools for women and African Americans.

The performance will take place at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave
Raleigh, and feature actors from Burning Coal Theatre Company in a celebration of the history of Raleigh and its most famous cemetery. Performances are May 29th and 30st, at 6:30pm and May 31st at 2:00pm.

Tickets for the event are $20 for adults, $10 for students, and may be obtained by calling 919.834.4001 or visiting www.burningcoal.org.
