The immortal love story of Prince Siegfried and the tender Princess Odette, who is turned into a swan by the evil sorcerer von Rothbart, is synonymous with classical ballet itself. For each new generation of soloists, as well as the entire corps, Swan Lake represents a great challenge to present paramount dance art. The production wittingly respects the work’s original version and its spectacular fairy-tale nature, yet at the same time abounds in refined ballet technique.
