BLASTED Comes to Teatro da Trindade in 2023

Um quarto de hotel sofisticado. Uma situação beligerante no exterior, infeta e corrói, determinantemente, os delineamentos lacrados e herméticos dentro do compartimento.
Ian, um homem de 40 anos, jornalista, alcoólico, enfermo, racista, misógino e homofóbico e Cate, uma rapariga burguesa de 20 e poucos anos, gaga e inocente, perpetuam uma relação agonizante e moribunda de violência psicológica, sexual e física.
Pelo meio dos diálogos labirínticos, malignos e tóxicos entre Ian e Cate, um Soldado irrompe, subitamente, pelo quarto.
Cate consegue fugir, mas o Soldado apodera-se psicológica e sexualmente de Ian, descrevendo-lhe as atrocidades que concretizou e testemunhou desde que a guerra eclodiu até ao momento em que uma bomba é propelida e deixa o quarto de hotel em ruínas. E Ian. E Cate. E o Soldado. Em ruínas.
"Blasted" estreou a 18 de maio no Teatro Municipal do Porto, no âmbito do FITEI 2022.
