Rogue Pack Presents Stories from Maclaren Youth Correctional Facility
Rogue Pack presents "Stories from MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility" for young men in the custody of Oregon Youth Authority. Ten youth, ages 18-24, will share their personal stories written during workshops conducted by playwright Francesca Piantadosi. Performed by professional actors in an evening of one-act plays directed by Patrick Walsh. Rogue Pack provides an open forum in which these incarcerated youth, who come from surprisingly diverse cultures and backgrounds, can reveal their challenges, hopes and desires in these troubled times.
This is an opportunity for these youth to connect with the greater Portland community through artistic expression, resulting in cultural understanding between the playwrights and audience.
Rogue Pack lends an open forum for youth to be heard by the community during the Fertile Ground Festival Jan. 2017!
