Artists Rep Extends SUPERIOR DONUTS

With close to completely sold out houses for the rest of the scheduled performances, Artists Repertory Theatre will extend Superior Donuts for four more shows: Wednesday-Saturday, February 9-12 at 7:30 pm.  This is a limited extension due to actor availability and a production overlap with the opening of Artists Rep's intensive next show, The Lieutenant of Inishmore by Martin McDonagh which starts preview performances February 8.
 
Sprinkled with chuckles and glazed with connections, Superior Donuts tells the story of how an unlikely friendship can emerge in the most unexpected places. In Chicago's diverse Uptown neighborhood, a downtrodden donut shop owner hires a street-savvy and aspiring young writer with hustle and bright ideas. Chock-full of belly laughs, dynamic interactions and compelling neighborhood characters found in everyday lives, Superior Donuts stirs up the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship.
