The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Department of Education and Community Engagement celebrates spring in the Downtown Pittsburgh Cultural District with the free and festive Gallery Crawl on Friday, April 23, from 5:30 - 9 p.m. This exhilarating arts open house showcases an array of activities throughout the Cultural District with the trademark, eclectic mix of visual art, dance, music and more.
"The Gallery Crawl is a welcoming gateway for art-centric exploration in Pittsburgh's Cultural District and a great opportunity to bring people together for socializing and sharing a curiosity for varied art forms," said Kathryn J. Heidemann, Senior Manager of Education and Community Engagement, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.New, featured events for the spring crawl include a Silk Screen Asian Arts Organization performance showcase in Katz Plaza, the newly-formed Pittsburgh's Public Action Communitarian Theatre (PACT) at the Trust Arts Education Center, live music by Boca Chica at the Backstage Bar, Pittsburgh Architectural Club's debut exhibition, and numerous other visual and performing arts happenings comprising 20 spaces in the Cultural District.
