CLO Cabaret Presents The Marvelous Wonderettes, Opens 4/28

Travel to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where you'll meet the Wonderettes: Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts and voices to match. Follow their wise-cracking antics from prom through to their ten-year reunion, enjoying soulful renditions of your favorite songs from the '50s and '60s along the way. Featuring such classics as "Lollipop," "It's My Party," "It's In His Kiss" and more, The Marvelous Wonderettes is an unforgettable musical trip down memory lane!Cast (In Alphabetical Order)
Courtney Bassett (Missy) returns to the Cabaret after creating the role of "Jane" in last summer's ‘S Wonderful: The New Gershwin Musical. Ms. Bassett recently completed her degree in Musical Theatre at Point Park University's Conservatory for the Performing Arts. Her Pittsburgh Playhouse credits include Evita (Evita), The Light in the Piazza (Clara), The Rocky Horror Show (Ensemble/ US Columbia) and Another Moon Called Earth (Penelope). Additional local credits: Jane Eyre (Pittsburgh Irish & Classical) and The Future Ten Play Festival.
Stephanie Maloney (Betty Jean) is a native of Upper St. Clair, former CLO Academy Mini Star and Summer Season ensemble member, who is now making her CLO Cabaret debut. Other Pittsburgh CLO credits include: Into the Woods, Les Miserables, Mame, and multiple Richard Rodgers Awards presentations. NYC/ University of Michigan credits: Yiddisher Teddy Bears (Public Theatre), Pooch (Demo Recording), Deck the Halls (Lincoln Center), Man of La Mancha (Aldonza) and Hair (Jeanie). She is recent graduate of The University of Michigan with a BFA in Musical Theatre.
