Andrew Deichman Performs At Camp Media Theater's LES MIZ 7/14-8/8

Andrew Deichman, a professional actor who recently appeared as Mark in The Media Theatre's production of "RENT", will work with Camp Media Theatre this summer as a guest artist in the popular musical "Les Miserables". The Media Theatre Youth Ensemble production will feature Deichman as Jean Valjean from July 14 through August 8. "Les Miz" is directed by the theatre's
Artistic Director Jesse Cline.

"Working for young audiences is certainly not new to me," Deichman said. "I traveled to Southeast Asia in "Spongebob Squarepants Live!". This production in Media puts me right there in the cast with the teen ensemble. So in this case I am performing for all ages while working with young actors."

Deichman has been seen in productions of "Godspell", "Camelot", and "Grease", and was also in The Media Theatre's "Show Boat" this past fall. "The work being done at The Media Theatre is very valuable for the region," he explained. "Particularly the emphasis on education and training for young performers. My goal this summer is to further encourage the teen actors and to show them, by example, the type of focus and discipline needed to maintain their craft."

Cline agrees with Deichman's assessment and adds, "Andrew is a wonderful performer. Audiences that come to see "Les Miserables" this summer will enjoy hearing his interpretation of this popular score. As an actor, he will create a memorable Jean Valjean."
