Ragtime: The Musical at The Herberger Theater Center

Winner of four Tony Awards in 1998, Ragtime follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream. Based on E. L. Doctorow’s novel, and celebrated for its soaring musical score filled with ragtime, blues, jazz and show tunes, Ragtime, the musical, offers a moving portrait of America in the early 20th century. Produced in collaboration with the Herberger Theater Center, Arizona Musicfest’s production will feature guest Broadway stars of the current and past Broadway productions, some of the top musical theater performers of the Valley, and the 30 piece Musicfest Pops Ensemble, under the direction of Musicfest Resident Artist Josh Condon, with stage direction by Mark Stoddard.
