A deeply moving new play about love, loss, and the quiet miracles that bring people together when they need it most. The story follows a young orphaned boy longing for belonging and a woman trapped in a troubled relationship, two strangers whose paths cross on a cold winter’s night in an act of unexpected grace. Their meeting sets off a quiet ripple of kindness that changes both of their lives — and reminds us all that love has the power to mend even the most broken hearts. The new production, Miles of Grace, premieres December 17, 2025, under the company, House of Parker Productions. House of Parker Production was created by an artist devoted to creating work that speaks beyond convention. With belief that true success is not defined by the approval of the world, but by the standards we set for ourselves. The art is unapologetic, often challenging, and rooted in the voices of those too often silenced. It resists confinement—unbound by a single culture, race, or region—offering instead a universal call to witness, reflect, and feel. The story doesn’t stop at the stage. On opening night, they are transforming the performance into a live act of giving. Audience members who bring donations of warmth will receive $10 off of their admission. Miles of Grace is benefiting Foster Alliance and CASA. I wanted to create something that could hold people — not just move them. For Playwright, Director, and Actor Desiree Parker art is truth. It is born from the heart, carrying the power to heal, inspire, and reimagine the world we see today. Though one person, she recognizes that her gifts gain strength in community—through collaboration with others who share her vision of connecting pain with healing, and art with medicine for the soul. This project isn’t about spotlight or success. It’s about trying, in a small and human way, to make grace tangible.
