Theatre Works to Present All Puppet Players' THE EXORCIST HAS NO LEGS, 10/10-25

By:

Think fast...you find yourself in a place where sickening substances project profusely, diabolical debauchery reigns, and unspeakable horror permeates the air. Where are you? No, not at a hoedown at Honey Boo-Boo's familial digs, but you are in attendance for the World Premiere of The All Puppet Players eerie and irreverent offering of THE EXORCIST HAS NO LEGS!

The Exorcist Has No Legs hits the ground running at Theater Works in Peoria, (located at 8355 W Peoria Ave) beginning October 10th and continuing through October 25th. Tickets are $13.00 for General Admission and can be purchased by calling 623-815-7930 or by visiting www.theaterworks.org. Advance purchase is recommended due to limited seating.

Shaun Michael McNamara, Owner and Artistic Director of the All Puppet Players, will unleash his edgy and deliciously diabolical cast of possessed puppets (geared toward the more mature theatre-goer) in conjunction with the 40 Year Anniversary of iconic movie The Exorcist. And what better way to mark this auspicious occasion celebrating AFI's #3 most thrilling movie, like, EVER, than with a gaggle of googly-eyed puppets rotating their heads and spewing pea soup?

Newly arrived in the Valley of the Sun, McNamara and his molting, motley crew of "puppets behaving badly" are fresh from their triumphant performances to sell-out crowds in California. Arizona native McNamara states his vision regarding this particular production "For a while, I have been toying with the concept of interpreting an epic motion picture onstage. But it had to be the perfect movie, and it had to be the right time. Late one night, I popped in The Exorcist and I realized that this iconic movie was ripe for puppet-infused parody. It was the perfect piece to bring to the stage. Projectile vomit & puppets--what more could you want from an evening out?"

McNamara continues "For those of you that have been living under a rock, the story line is about the demonic possession of a 12 year old girl and her mother's desperate attempts to win back her child's soul through an exorcism conducted by two Roman Catholic priests...doesn't that just SCREAM fun?"
