Dmitri Matheny (flugelhorn)

Celebrated for his warm tone, soaring lyricism and masterful technique, American musician Dmitri Matheny has been lauded as "the first breakthrough flugelhornist since Chuck Mangione" (San Jose Mercury News). First introduced to jazz audiences in the 1990s as the protégé of Art Farmer, Matheny has matured into "one of the jazz world's most talented horn players" (San Francisco Chronicle), a leading figure on the international jazz scene and one of the most prolific musicians of his generation.

T-Bone Sistrunk (bass)Originally from Manhattan Kansas, Sistrunk attended Arizona State University to study with Chuck Mahronich. He has also studied with bassists Rufus Reid, Dave Holland, and Michael Formanack. Additionally, he has honed his composition, arranging and improvisational skills by studying with the always innovative trumpeter/composer/educator Ralph Alessi. Ted's talents and accomplishments combine to make him a valuable asset as bass instructor at Paradise Valley Community College.
John Lewis (drums)A native California, this LA based musician has recorded, toured and performed with many great entertainers including Natalie Cole, The Judds, Marvin Hamlish, Devid Benoit, Dave Koz as well as developed music for film and TV programs on Fox, HBO, Disney and A & E. Mary Petrich (saxophone)As a saxophonist Mary Petrich has been performing professionally and teaching since the age of 18. She holds a Master's degree in saxophone performance from ASU and a Bachelor's degree in saxophone performance from Indiana University. Although classically trained, the spontaneity and freedom of jazz has emerged as the driving force in her musical career.

Nick Manson (piano)Nick has been a guest lecturer and clinician at many schools and he developed and taught the music theory program for audio majors at the Art Institute of Seattle in the early 1990s.
