TRACES IN THE WIND Plays The Gyder Stage For One Performance Only

The City of Peoria, in collaboration with TheaterWorks, presents Traces in the Wind.

Traces in the Wind is a tribute to the strength and courage of three extraordinary women who survived the Holocaust through the power of the arts. This musical staged reading uncovers stories of betrayal, humiliation, and incarceration while asserting the spiritual resistance that the arts can provide. The performers are theatre graduates of The School of Creative and Performing Arts at Stephens College in Columbia, MO.

The production, created by Gail Humphries Mardirosian, Dean, features an original score by Tom Andes, a music professor in the School. Over the past two years, this performance has evolved and toured, with a debut performance at the International Psychoanalytical Conference and a performance at the Embassy of The Czech Republic in Washington D.C. Traces in the Wind will enlighten and educate its audiences, preserving the legacy of remarkable women.

The cast, featuring performers from Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota and Arizona, includes: Clara Bentz (Rosie Glazer), Lauren Hardcastle (Eva Kavanova) and Katherine Moore, (Charlotte Delbo) with narration by Abilene Olson. Also featured is Tom Andes, performing his original score, and Sara Crosby, MSW, CSW-PIP, who leads the audience in a talkback session following the performance.

Single tickets are $7 and are available online or by calling the box office at 623-815-7930.
