Scottsdale Museum Of Contemporary Art Announces Half Off October Admissions Starting today, visitors to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art can take advantage of budget-friendly admission prices through Friday, Oct. 26.

Regularly $10 for adults and $7 for students, seniors (65+) and veterans, visitors will be able to experience "Lydia Okumura: Situations" until Sunday, Oct. 14, and "NKAME: A Retrospective of Cuban Printmaker Belkis Ayón (1967-1999)" starting on Saturday, Oct. 13, at half price.

Visitors attending the first day of "Double Agents: Carla Fernández and Pedro Reyes" on Saturday, Oct. 27, should be aware of SMoCA's new admission hours aimed at better serving the museum's patrons. New hours of operation will be Tuesday - Wednesday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Thursday - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Sunday, noon - 5 p.m.; and closed Mondays and major holidays. SMoCA will remain free on Thursdays. Instead of free admission after 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, SMoCA will offer free admission on the second Saturday of each month to create a more family-friendly admission day.

SCOTTSDALE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART
Founded in 1999, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) explores the best of contemporary art, architecture and design. Global in its focus, the Museum is a unique and vital cultural resource for the Southwest, serving local audiences as well as visitors from the United States and abroad. Designed by award-winning architect Will Bruder, SMoCA's minimalist building (an ingenious renovation of a former movie theater) has four galleries for showcasing changing exhibitions and works from the Museum's collection, along with SMoCA Lounge, a living, functional art installation and space for community engagement. The Museum presents a wide variety of educational programs and special events for adults and families, including lectures, readings, performances, docent-led tours, workshops and classes.
