Prescott Fine Arts Association is proud to present in association with the Prescott Public Library, RED, WHITE AND BLACKLISTED, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2010, located at the Prescott Public Library.

The play is written by Christopher Trumbo and directed by Ernest Giglio. Admission is free though donations are appreciated. A discussion of the play will take place at the conclusion of the reading.

About the Play:
Christopher Trumbo pays tribute to his father, Dalton Trumbo (1905-1976), a screenwriter best known as one of the "Hollywood Ten" who were accused of being Communists in 1947. Mr. Trumbo refused to name names before the House Un-American Activities Committee, was imprisoned and subsequently, blacklisted by Hollywood. The play is based on letters written by Dalton to his son, mostly from prison.

About PFAA Readers Theater:
In its third season, PFAA is again collaborating with the Prescott Public Library to
present a series of staged play readings, free to the public. Similar to Mainstage productions, these are fully rehearsed, and will be performed in the large meeting room in the lower level of the Library. Talented reader's theatre cast members deliver the dialogue using vocal intonation, facial expression and limited physical movement, with scripts in hand. On a professional level, many playwrights and/or composers and lyricists of musicals hold similar readings of their work looking for potential financial backers. Directors look upon this form of theatre as a way to broaden their ability to reach out and "test the waters" in different styles of theatre.
