"GYPSY is frequently considered one of the crowning achievements of the musical theatre cannon and has been referred to as the greatest American musical by numerous critics and writers, among them Ben Brantley and Frank Rich. With a score by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Arthur Larents, Gypsy boasts some of the greatest and well-known songs emanating from the Great White Way, like, Let Me Entertain You, Some People, You'll Never Get Away From Me, Everything's Coming Up Roses, Together, Wherever We Go and the show-stopping, Rose's Turn."

Gypsy is based on the memoirs of the famous Burlesque Queen, Gypsy Rose Lee, her sister, June Havoc (who went on to have a successful movie career) and their domineering stage mother, Rose, originated by Ethel Merman and played by such greats as Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters, Bette Midler and Patti Lupone, as well as Rosalind Russell, in the film version. Join Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920's, when vaudeville was dying and burlesques was born. PFAA is located at 208 N.Marina St. in Prescott at the corner of N. Marina and Willis Streets.
