Meet the Man Behind the Grand in Phoenix Theatre's LIBERACE!
Liberace! is an unprecedented profile of the surprisingly private man behind the larger-than-life persona. Maestro Jeff Kennedy transforms into Mr. Showmanship and tickles the ivories through some of his best loved tunes and piano standards including "I'll Be Seeing You," "Viva Las Vegas" and "Chopsticks."
Connie Furr-Solomon serves as the costume designer for Liberace! after writing Liberace Extravaganza, a book detailing the renowned performer's dazzling and over-the-top costumes.
This production is licensed by the Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts (www.liberace.org). Written by Brent Hazelton with music composition by Jack Forbes Wilson, Liberace! is a funny and touching salute to the performer who defined four decades of music and pop culture.
Liberace! opens September 21 and runs through October 9. Tickets start at $30 and are available for purchase by phone at 602.254.2151 or by visiting phoenixtheatre.com.
