Black Friday Laughs at Theater Works
They may be old, but you better get out of the way! The Friday after Thanksgiving, the finest, funniest fifty "something" comics converge on Peoria to make Thanksgiving weekend the funniest of the holiday season in Over 50 and Funny.
Ninety-five-year-old, Gert the Joke Lady will be making a rare special guest appearance! As a young girl Gert escaped Nazi occupied Austria and came to America. As an actress she appeared as a guest star on many episodic television shows and even worked with Paul Newman! In her early nineties she approached Tony Vicich about doing a stand up comedy show and it has been quite a ride. Appearing at many of the top venues, she has been featured on the TBN Network, Az3, and NPR.
