Photo Coverage: ALL OUT OF LOVE Cast, Creatives Meet The Press

Manila, Philippines--Unannounced, Air Supply's Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell joined the producers and cast of ALL OUT OF LOVE, a new musical featuring the classic hit songs of Air Supply, to meet with the members of the press last Friday, June 1.

The new musical, written by Jim Millan and directed by Darren Yap, features MiG Ayesa, Rachel Alejandro, Tanya Manalang, Jamie Wilson, and Raymund Concepcion.

Set in New York City, the show's story happens over the course of one evening, as music mogul Tommy King (Concepcion) tries to convince his struggling rock star Jamie Crimson (Ayesa) to embark on a world tour to promote his new album and save the music producer's record company.

Jamie is struggling having left behind his songwriting partner and sweetheart Rayne (Alejandro) while Tommy is dealing with his own loss--that of his wife and his distant relationship with his daughter (Manalang).

According to the Co-producer Naomi Toohey, the musical has been six years in the making.

"Things take a long time, especially with musicals, I'm learning. It just took this long to come to fruition. We're very glad that it's happening now, and it's long overdue," Russell told the press.

"All Out of Love" (world premiere) plays at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila from October 18 to 28.

If you were to stage a 20-year-old two-hander post-pandemic, it’d be a smart move to update its directorial decisions and the script’s words and dialogues, especially with the play’s themes about young love, pre-marital sex, and peer pressure meant to resonate, at the least, with the Gen Zers today.
