Manila, Philippines--KidsFest 2016 in Manila, which features the acclaimed stage adaptation of THE GRUFFALO, based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's beloved picture book, plays Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, in Makati City from tomorrow, January 27, to Sunday, January 31. Tickets can be purchased at TicketWorld.com.ph.

Since its 2001 premiere, the long-running show has been performed in the UK and all over the world, from Poland to Germany, from Alaska to Hong Kong, from Malaysia to Paris, from Dubai to Chile, and from Off-Broadway to the Sydney Opera House.

Brought to Manila by Concertus Manila, in partnership with ABA Productions and Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, THE GRUFFALO follows a tiny brown mouse with a huge appetite for hazelnuts and intrigues. The mouse enters a deep dark wood to find something delicious to eat. Along the way, the mouse meets a slick fox, a militant owl, and a maraca-shaking snake, all of whom want nothing than to make the mouse their next meal. To escape the clutches of these forest foes, the mouse invents a tall tale about a ferocious new friend and protector, the Gruffalo!

Directed by Olivia Jacobs, the production has Toby Mitchell, creative producer; Luanna Priestman, associate director; Benjamin Luke, company stage manager; Isla Shaw, designer; Yvonne Stone, puppet designer; Lisa Aitken; costume supervisor; Christine Atkinson, Calum Harvey, and Aislinn Luton, costume makers; Natalie Lewis, Leanne James, and Jessica Houghton, costume assistants; James Whiteside, lighting designer; Nick May, production manager; Morag Cross, choreographer; Jon Fiber, Olivia Jacobs, Robin Price, and Andy Shaw, composers and lyricists, and Jon Fiber and Andy Shaw for JollyGoodTunes, music producers.
