In Arthur Miller's classic drama, Eddie Carbone is a longshoreman, working the docks of Red Hook, Brooklyn and providing for his family. He is a working class hero whose tragic flaw brings disaster down on himself and his Italian American family. Miller modeled this masterpiece on a Greek tragedy. Lawyer Alfieri is both the chorus and an actor who advises Eddie.
