Theatre Harrisburg Presents ANNIE 11/5-11/22
The Mega-Hit Musical for the Whole Family About a Little Orphan Girl, Her Dog & Her Eternal Hope for Tomorrow.
The country was in a Depression, but for one little girl there was always hope...Tomorrow. Based on the popular comic strip, this hit musical comedy follows the adventures of 11 year-old Annie who temporarily escapes from the orphanage presided over by the cruel Miss Hannigan. After befriending a stray dog (Sandy), she is eventually selected to spend Christmas at the palatial home of millionaire Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks. In time, Warbucks decides he would like to adopt her himself, but not before a nationwide search for the little girl's parents and a wacky get-rich-quick scheme by Miss Hannigan and her brother Rooster. With its delightful score and happy ending, this is the perfect "feel good" show for family members of all ages - and just in time for the holidays! Winner of 3 Tony Awards including Best Musical of 1977.
