The Wilma Theater Announces 2018 Theater Lovers Fête The Wilma Theater will hold its annual Theater Lovers Fête on Monday, May 14 at 5:30pm, at the theater's home on 265 South Broad Street. The celebration honors the company's own Artistic Director Blanka Zizka, inspired by the Wilma's recent transformations under her leadership. For the last 37 years, Zizka has led the Wilma in its mission to "create living, adventurous art," and her vision continues to foster growth and fearless experimentation within the local and international theater community. The Fête celebrates the Wilma's new era of artistic exploration.

A cadre of live performances, developed specially for the 2018 Theater Lovers Fête, along with appearances by artists from past Wilma productions, will populate the entirety of The Wilma Theater's building, the Wilma at Aurora. Pop-up performances have been curated to immerse guests in the exploration of living, adventurous art, in keeping with the Wilma's penchant for the bold and imaginative. Superb fare and cocktails will be served, with a dance party capping off the evening.

The 2018 Theater Lovers Fête will culminate a landmark season for the Wilma. Alongside the transformation of the Wilma's South Broad Street location into Wilma at Aurora, the Wilma HotHouse Company of actors was cemented as a key part of the theater's creative process and brand. With the recent announcement of the Wilma's 2018/2019 Season, the theater will continue to foster an environment of diverse collaboration matched with Zizka's "startling originality and visual imagination" as a director (Philadelphia Magazine).

Linda and David Glickstein, David Haas, and Leonard C. Haas serve as honorary co-chairs of the 2018 Theater Lovers Fête. Proceeds from the Fête will support the Wilma's mission, its productions, and its educational and outreach programs, including those which support Philadelphia public school students.

Tickets to the annual Theater Lovers Fête can be purchased by calling 215-893-9456 ext. 124 or at wilmafete.org. Tickets are $250 per person.
