The State Theatre, Easton PA kicks off the 2009 Holiday season with the national tour of the family favorite ANNIE, followed by the Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Extravaganza, Danu: Christmas in Ireland, the Jimmy Sturr Holiday Spectacular and the annual tradition, The Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker.

Nutcracker patrons will be treated to a spectacular tradition that can't be found anywhere else as it snows over the audience. They will also have the opportunity to take a photo with Santa Claus in the Alvin H. Butz Gallery on Nutcracker Day.

State Theatre Holiday Show Information:
The national tour of ANNIE boasts one of Broadway's most memorable scores, including "It's the Hard-Knock Life," "Easy Street," "N.Y.C." and the ever-optimistic "Tomorrow," and offers a delightful theatrical experience for the entire family. Wednesday, December 2 at 7:30 PM. Tickets: $55/$50

Brian Setzer is back again to get your holidays rockin' like no one else can The Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks Extravaganza on Thursday, December 3rd at 8 PM. The acclaimed Irish ensemble Danú celebrates a traditional Irish Christmas with An Nollaig in Éirinn (Christmas in Ireland) on Thursday, December 10th at 8 PM. Danú returns to the US this December with special guests and a glorious celebration of Christmas from their homeland. Tickets: $25/$20

Jimmy Sturr, Jimmy Sturr and his orchestra return with the 2009 Jimmy Sturr Holiday Spectacular - with special guest Tommy Cash in a tribute to his brother Johnny Cash on Sunday, December 8th at 3 PM. The wildly popular show features holiday and polka favorites with Matt & Elaine, the Jimmy Sturr Singers, The Irish Step Dancers, Santa and much more. The Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker is a classic for the whole family, featuring hand-painted sets, larger than life puppets and breathtaking scenic design, including a new magical clock on Sunday, December 13th at 1 PM and 4:30 PM. The repertory features Christina Terentieva, voted the #1 prima ballerina at the 2008 Varna International Ballet Competition. THE ONLY AREA NUTCRACKER WHERE IT SNOWS OVER THE AUDIENCE!

On Nutcracker Day, December 13th, souvenir photos with Santa will be available in the Alvin H. Butz Gallery before each show and during intermissions. Patrons can enter at 5th & Northampton Streets or from the mezzanine level of the Theatre.
