The Drama Group Presents DON'T TALK TO THE ACTORS, Now thru 3/23

By:

Adam Corbett (pictured, left) plays a fledgling playwright, and David DelBianco is his director, whose advice is: don't talk to the actors. "Don't Talk to the Actors" also happens to be a comedy by Tom Dudzick and the name of the show opening at The Drama Group tonight, March 8.

The cast also includes Marilyn Leah, Mort Paterson, Michele S. Scutti and Stephanie Stoner. Wayne Snover is the director.

Performances continue Friday and Saturday evenings through March 23, at 8:00, in Pilling Hall at The First United Methodist
Church of Germantown, 6001 Germantown Avenue, between High Street and Walnut Lane.

Young playwright Jerry Przpezniak and his fiance Arlene Wyniarski are a couple of innocents who are suddenly swept up in the whirlwind of the New York theatre scene when one of Jerry's plays is optioned for a Broadway production. It's a young author's dream. Or is it his nightmare? Everyone involved knows exactly what the play needs in order to make it a hit. The lead actor wants his lines rewritten. The lead actress would be more comfortable with more jokes, and maybe a song. If only Jerry had listened to his director's advice.

Tickets for "Don't Talk to the Actors" are $15.00 and can be purchased at the door. On opening night, Friday, March 8, every ticket purchased will admit two people. There will be a post-show discussion following the performance on Friday, March 15.
