Star of the Day Presents William Shakespeare's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS
Star of the Day continues its 2017 Summer Season with The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare. Directed by Will Windsor Erwin. July 21-23, 2017.
The Comedy of Errors is described as one of the earliest, shortest, and most farcical plays of William Shakespeare's career. The play begins with Antipholus of Syracuse on his quest to find his long lost twin brother. Antipholus and his servant Dromio wash-up on the shore of the seaside town of Ephesus, which turns out to be the home of both Antipholus and Dromio's identical twin brothers. Both sets of twins endure a montage of mistaken identities and a series of encounters with Ephesus' unusual residents that results in one wacky, magical comedy.
A hilarious tale of mistaken identity, love, a shipwreck, and mixed bag of characters. This is a great introduction to Shakespeare. Expect everything, even the unexpected.
