Philadelphia Theatre Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen Kund Nolan as Interim Managing Director. Nolan replaces Diane Claussen who has moved to Chicago to assume the position of Managing Director at Northwestern University's Theatre and Interpretation Center.

Kathleen Nolan comes to PTC following a position as Interim Managing Director at Princeton's McCarter Theatre, where she had also served as General Manager for nine years and then as Management Consultant for three years. In addition to five years as Business Manager at the Philadelphia Drama Guild, she has worked at Pennsylvania Stage Company, Cleveland Playhouse and North Shore Music Theatre. She currently serves on the Boards of Trustees of both McCarter Theatre Center as Vice President for Development, and Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival as Secretary. Nolan and her family reside in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

"PTC is fortunate in having Kathleen join our team just as we are kicking off our 35th Anniversary season. She is a respected and seasoned professional who also lives and works in our region so we know her contribution will be invaluable," said PTC's Producing Artistic Director Sara Garonzik. "With a person of her caliber in place, PTC will be able to launch a search for a permanent Managing Director during this season without losing any momentum."

Continued Priscilla M. Luce, PTC President of the Board, "Kathleen brings with her a love of the theater, and a respect for what we have accomplished here at PTC. In addition, with her experience as a Board member of several prominent theater companies, she will be a valued liaison between the Board and staff."

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off its 35th Anniversary mainstage season with the quirky and hilarious Tony Award-winning musical, THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE with music and lyrics by William Finn and book by Rachel Sheinkin on November 12- December 12.
