The first ever Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, (PIFA), April 7- May 1, inspired by the Kimmel Center, brings the 25- day celebration to a spectacular close with two days of unique events that spotlight Philadelphia's vibrant and diverse arts and culture community with Parisian flair.
From the Last Party in Paris, Dance Party hosted by noted actor Boris Kodjoe (April 29) to the Street Fair (April 30) which spreads across 6 blocks of Broad Street from Chestnut to Lombard, Philadelphia will turn into a Parisian playground, featuring a Ferris Wheel on Broad Street, a full-scale Trampoline, a Kids Amphitheatre with a garden and shrub maze for children, an outdoor Trapeze, restaurants and vendors of all kinds, two stages packed with day-long entertainment and a finale featuring the French aerial troupe La Compagnie Transe Express performing Celestial Arts over 150 feet in the air complete with music and pyrotechnics just as the sun is setting.
