JIB, a new living film, rock show, and ghost play by Michael McQuilken (BAM, Prototype Festival, Amanda Palmer international tour) is having it's Philadelphia premiere this December at the Christ Church Neighborhood House in Old City.

The show is being co-produced by The Windmill Factory (La Mama etc, The Metropolitan Opera, La Louvre) and OLD SOUND ROOM Performance Ensemble (Yale School of Drama). Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls) and Jason Webley are writing the music and Michael McQuilken directs.

This multimedia work explores the interconnectedness of inspiration and the unseen forces which guide our lives through the rise and fall of singer/songwriter JIB. The audience is immersed in JIB's world and quickly becomes a part of the action.

The premiere of JIB is being crowd funded on Kickstarter with the presale of the album, film, and live show tickets, amongst many other exciting rewards including a gourmet dinner with a private performance from Firehorse, a party bus from NYC to the show in Philly, and merch signed by the creative team. The all-star cast includes Laura Gragtmans (Hug the Lonely Cactus), Jon Morris (Fuerzabruta, Cirque du Soleil), Daniel Reece (Public Morals), Leah Siegel (Leisure Cruise, Firehorse), JillIan Taylor (Yale Rep), Brendan Titley (B'way Macbeth), and Joe Trombino (The Great Apes).

OLD SOUND ROOM is a performance ensemble created in 2013 by a group of like-minded theatre artists, all Yale School of Drama graduates. OSR has grown into an internationally recognized and award-winning performance ensemble, including such original works as OSRLear, October in the Chair (Araca Project Grant recipient, Best of Fringe Amsterdam), Origin Story, and Machine Makes Man (best int'l performance Fringe Amsterdam, National Arts Festival of South Africa). Co-Artistic Director Michael McQuilken's latest work, Angel's Bone, was part of the Prototype Festival 2016 and received rave reviews from The New York Times.

THE WINDMILL FACTORY, a creative collective based in Brooklyn, NY, manufactures sublime experience where the audience is king. They have produced art installations, performances, and events from a Nine Inch Nails tour to re-creating the night sky on the Hudson river to residencies at the Watermill Centre and La Mama etc to 5-star productions at the Edinburgh Fringe. Their work has been acclaimed internationally by WIRED, Rolling Stone, SPIN, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, The Scotsman, NBC News, and The Creators Project, to name more than a few.

Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls, Theatre is Evil, The Art of Asking) & JASON WEBLEY (Evelyn Evelyn), both solo artists in their own rights, compose new songs for JIB -- their acoustic versions will be released as an EP, their recordings will then be fully orchestrated with a rock band by Michael McQuilken, and re-presented with the rest of JIB's score in the show, in the film, and in a full-length LP format, exclusively available through this Kickstarter campaign.
