The Off-Broadway play "One-Man Star Wars Trilogy" performed by Canadian writer and actor Charlie Ross and based on the original trilogy, will take place at The Ware Center on Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 PM. From Darth Vader to R2D2, no character or famous quote is left out in Ross's one-man show. He plays all the characters, recreates the effects, inserts factoids when appropriate, sings from the John Williams score, flies the ships, and fights both sides of the battles. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

After writing this impressive production in 2001 while he was in college, Charlie Ross could not have imagined how successfully it would be received. Shortly after collaborating with director TJ Dawe (who has now directed four of Ross's solo shows), Ross was touring the globe, delighting audiences with his unique and frenetic solo show for 14 years.

Following sold-out tours of North America's Fringe theatre festivals, One-Man Star Wars Trilogy has moved from Off-Broadway in New York to London's West End, and from Dubai's resorts to the Glastonbury Music Festival--in small towns, big cities, and at Lucasfilm's own Star WarsTM conventions. It has also appeared on several television shows, including NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien and CBS's Late Late Show. Ross has now performed the show over 1200 times in 180 cities.

The show is a testament to Ross's childhood days spent in a galaxy far, far away--and, according to Ross, adulthood has been no different. Rather, it has been the discovery of a passion for acting that brought a geek-at-heart back to earth.
