Nancy Harms Headlines Bob Egan's New Hope1/8
Acclaimed New York-based cabaret singer, Nancy Harms will return to Bob Egan's New Hope Supper Club and Cabaret with a new show, "In The Indigo," on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Showtime is 8:30 pm. Harms will be accompanied by MICHAEL FERRERI on the piano.
Nancy Harm's "IN THE INDIGO" show reveals her to be an artist who has combined her assorted influences and developed a startlingly original conception and presentation. The show features new takes on popular & jazz standards such as "Bye Bye Blackbird", "Blue Skies", and "On A Clear Day." Harms also revisits other well-known items in the American Songbook repertoire including "I Wished On The Moon", and "Cry Me A River" as well as lesser-known, but choice pieces including "Reach For Tomorrow" and "I'm Pulling Through."
Harms will also present two original works: "Surprised By The Morning" by Harms and New York bassist Michael O'Brien, and "IN THE INDIGO", written by Harms in collaboration with Robert Bell and Arne Fogel. All are performed by Harms in a supple, stylish voice that has been described by critics as "languorously seductive".
Bob Egan's New Hope - Supper Club and Cabaret is located at the Ramada of New Hope, 6426 Lower York Road in New Hope, PA.
