DustinSchoof.com presents "Easton Rocks!" to benefit the State Theatre. The showcase of local bands will take place in the State Theatre's Acopian Ballroom on Saturday, January 23.

Show time is set for 7:30 PM. General Admission tickets are $12 and are available for purchase through the State Theatre Shopping Cart at http://www.shopstatetheatre.org/easton-rocks/ or through the Box Office 610-252-3132. Proceeds from the show will go towards the State Theatre "Get Plastered" campaign to repair years of plaster damage caused by the leaking roof and to restore the Theatre's ornate architecture.

Easton Rocks! will feature local bands such as Roi and the Secret People, the Alex Radus Trio with Dave Cahill, Blue Jean and Carter Lansing.

Renowned for their exciting live shows, Roi and the Secret People features the mesmerizing voice of Mike Roi and the musical talents of Craig Martyn on drums, Jason Hedrington on Moog/Keys, Glen Radomski on bass and Ed Golden on Guitar. Roi set out to assemble a group of talented, experienced, and like-minded musicians to create the version of rock music he was raised with.

Alex Radus is proud to make his home in the beautiful and artistically rich Lehigh Valley. But his music draws from across the American songwriting spectrum and beyond. As a result, Radus' songwriting leapfrogs across genres, often blurring the lines between them.

Dave Cahill is an incredibly gifted singer, songwriter, musician and producer who at the ripe age of 30, has composed and published six albums of original music and has played over a thousand live performances in his young life.

Blue Jean was formed in late 2009 by singer-guitarist Chris Hallett and bassist Dustin Schoof after a decade of cutting their teeth on the Lehigh Valley and Pocono indie-rock circuits. Blue Jean combines the pop sensibility of Weezer with the melodic touch of Spill Canvas and the bright hue of New Found Glory and Jimmy Eat World.

Carter Lansing plays the acoustic guitar and handles vocals for the Acoustic Kitty Project. His songs are both sensitive and literary; he links the past and the present through a personal narrative that taps deep into the vein of folk with raw passion.
