The Kimmel Center is proud to announce that the Board of Directors of Kimmel Center, Inc. elected David P. Holveck as its Chairman, effective July 1, 2014. Dave Holveck brings over 40 years of executive experience in long-term growth initiatives for Fortune 500 companies such as General Electric Company, Johnson & Johnson and most recently served as President, Chief Executive Officer of Endo Pharmaceuticals. He has been an active member of the Kimmel Center Board since 2012, serving most recently as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Holveck succeeds Paul A.Tufano as Chairman of the Kimmel's Board of Directors.

"Dave's seasoned approach and perspective in corporate growth initiatives was integral to our 2015 Strategic Plan development and we look forward to his leadership as the Kimmel Center continues to brand its growing campus of activities," said Kimmel Center President and CEO, Anne Ewers. "More than a building, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts has burgeoned into a thriving destination, embracing diverse performances, visual and culinary arts, cutting edge events and PIFA. Our three facilities provide multi-use opportunities and host performances that complement the work of the world renowned Resident Companies who call our campus home."

"It is an honor to follow Paul Tufano, who is a vital member of the Philadelphia community as a catalyst for arts and business," said Dave Holveck. "Mr. Tufano has been integral to many Kimmel Center successes including acting as chair of the Search Committee that brought current President and CEO, Anne Ewers, to the Center in 2007. He has offered strong leadership even when the Center existed as just an idea. I look forward to building upon his work toward expansion of the Kimmel Center campus offerings through artistic collaborations, partnerships, innovative technologies, and most importantly, world-class programming."

"We are most appreciative to Paul Tufano for his service as Chair. His leadership has supported the implementation of the Kimmel Center Master Plan including renovations to the Dorrance H. Hamilton Garden, the state-of-the-art installment in Perelman Theater for film screenings, the new architectural Spruce Street entrance to SEI Innovation Studio and the creation of Volver, the restaurant of acclaimed Iron Chef, Jose Garces," said Ms. Ewers.

Also we are pleased to announce the recent appointment of two new members to the Kimmel Center's Board of Directors. They include: Michael DiPiano, general partner of NewSpring Ventures and managing partner of NewSpring Capital, and Jami Wintz McKeon, chair-elect of the global law firm Morgan Lewis & Bockius.
